The Groves was named for the Orange Grove that occupied the area before the golf course was constructed, remnants of which are still visible on some of the holes. Arthur Hills began the design work in 1985 and the course opened in the spring of 1987.
This is a par 63 designed by Arthur Hills and is characteristic of his architecture, with mounds and shelves lining the fairways; sloped, undulating greens surrounded by grass depressions, strategically placed bunkers and generous mounding. The par 4’s reward a well-placed tee shot over the long ball hitter and the par 3’s require accuracy and a steady putter.
One of the most enjoyable features of The Groves course is that you can play 18 holes of challenging and enjoyable golf without sacrificing your entire day. Our professional staff help players keep rounds to a desirable pace of three hours and twenty minutes. Carts are suggested, however walking is permitted at the discretion of the Golf Professional.
Come join us for the most fun you can have in 18 holes of golf.
